WBDM — 15 years

This hard cover book is a collection of 30 interviews, which were year after year published on the wbdm website. The illustrator Lison Ferné drew a portrait for each one. These illustrations are accompanied by typographic games, with keywords that represent the worlds of the talents presented: entrepreneurs, designers, creatives and fashion designers. The book is covered in a coral coloured fabric with a title in hot stamping. It’s like a ‘little sweet treat'!

Inside, the photographic material has been delicately levelled and carefully printed, thanks to Olivier Dengis. The texts colour match the cover with a simple black and Pantone ink set. 

A font with inclusive glyphs, the ‘Baskervvol BBB’ font, was chosen for this book to illuminate the French texts, a particularly gendered language. These glyphs (special characters) allows writing beyond gender binarity by adding new kind of ligatures (a·o, f·e, f·v, i·e, r·ice, r·se, x·se, é·e). This font then gives an alternative to the midpoint usually used for inclusive writing in French. This research is the result of the collective work of Bye Bye Binary.
