Festival communication & identity

FAME is a multidisciplinary performing arts festival that seeks to encourage the discovery of new imaginary worlds that are more inclusive and equal. This is achieved through the various artistic works and reflections of women and gender minorities. We were very proud to take part as graphic designers for this third edition.

Festival communication & identity

The graphic design positioning utilises photographic colour manipulation and bold typeface combinations. The strong visual outcome is softened with soothing colour gradients in contrasting juxtapositions, reflecting the festival's own cutting-edge, curated content. The festival's own references and ethos deeply inspired the visual communication.

The theme of this edition is ‘Future’, focusing on ‘Future Politics’ (the study of power and domination in human relationships), ‘Future Bodies’ (as seeds of emancipation), and ‘Fictions of the Future’ (including science fiction, utopias, dystopias, and uchronias). We selected a striking photograph of jellyfish combined with a fluorescent green hue to reflect these themes, suggesting a fantastical and imaginative mood.
