Identity
During 5 days of concerts, 120 LGBTQI+ choirs, 4000 singers from more than 20 countries, bring their own culture and pop repertoire to stage. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
Brussels and its fabulous local queer choir SingOut Brussels! has been elected by the members of Legato to host the 2026 edition.
To win the bid in 2020 to host the event, many people have contributed ideas during participatory workshops we organised. This helped create the baseline ‘Let your heart be heard’ that is becoming the festival music anthem and inspired our work on the visual identity reflecting the character, fun and spirit of this wonderful gathering.
Musicality is key. Black, narrow monospace font, refers to scores and the rotalic effect on each letter creates a swagger like effect, reflecting gathered members of a choir.
The message that made the Brussels application file stand out are put upfront with joyful stickers referring to advocacy, inclusion, sustainability, openness, diversity and solidarity or just our brilliant city!
We put up a promotional campaign during the last festival held in Bologna in June 2023. A website, a regular newsletter and real stickers were distributed to ensure that everyone saved the date and prepares themselves for what promises to be a great party in our home town!
